A repeated line can create a rhythm. A bend, a break or a change in direction makes that rhythm interesting.
Near and far
From a distance, the ridges appear as sweeping gestures. Look more closely and those gestures become a network of smaller textures. Changing scale changes the character of the image.
An exercise in attention
Choose one ridge and follow it slowly. Notice where the line grows darker, where it forks, and where another form interrupts it. Looking closely is an active process; the image reveals more when we give it time.
